They were fitted last summer with new calipers (refurbed) from camskill

I've gone with the Gazrev1's nissan caliper bracket upgrade with the Nissan 300zx alloy caliper and supra tt uk spec 323x23 discs.

Note though - The Nissan S14 calipers are like the mr2 2 pots........bogus

Wheres the pic then? :)

You saying even those cant deal with heavy braking?

To answer the earlier question, I drive very hard normally if the car is working fine.

I heard that red stuff pads take a while to warm up and if you don't brake for a while like on the motorway then all of a sudden you need them, they wont work proplerly since not warmed up?! Is that true?

That has kinda put me off red stuff pads now...

was thinking either stock discs with stock pads or stock pads with carbotech pads.

I wouldnt mind some grooved discs, maybed grooved crn discs with carbotech pads is best combo? Want to avoid drilled discs just in case...

It's worth asking for a kit profile to see if it'll fit in your wheels, it's a wide disc with a wide caliper - might need a very thick wheel spacer where other kits could be a straight fit. Other things I can see from the listing:

- Also it's got "42mm pistons", this is a big increase in front bias, which will make the front lock up way before the rear.
- They haven't bothered with the strut-locating fitting in the brake line, so the brake line could hit the tire etc.
- The threaded hole in the bracket looks to be too close to the edge.
- The brackets look a bit DIY (and heavy if they are steel, and too weak by the holes if they are aluminium).

Have you checked out what's available in IMOC affiliates (just in case you'd missed it) to get a proper comparison?

Thanks for the fast reply, I had the same thought on the brackets that's why I wanted to ask here first if anybody has any experience with the kit.

First I thought about getting the kit from Wolfkatz but it don't think it will fit my 16" winter setup wheels. Then I saw this kit on ebay and was hoping that it might fit the wheels, I already send an email to the seller asking for a profile.

I just read your topic for your bbk. One thing that irritates me a bit was the following:

I've reached the point of brake fade testing the kit and it's about the same as the Rev 2 front stuff, both fitted with Reds. However it's loads more responsive / controlable and that bit more powerful......but a lot lighter, and the pads and discs cost less for the WMS kit.

Does this mean that your kit can be compared to the rev2+ brake setup in terms of braking power and fading?
The other problem I have is the TÜV that mr2magic mentioned as I'm from Germany.

Basically my problem is that I started with a bit of track driving this year and it feels like my brakes are the weekest point. They start to overheat very fast even when slowing down a few times on the Autobahn from 200kph.
I have a rev1 that I upgraded with a rev3 turbo and a rev3 brake setup with EBC Greenstuff pads and Goodridge brake lines.
I just want something that won't let me down when I go to the racetrack. And as brake kits require serious funds I don't want to buy something that is just a little bit better than my stock setup.

The weakest point in your setup will be those EBC Greens - Reds are a load better.

I'll drop you a PM in a sec, you're right about the TUV bit being a pain (of course the same problem applies to Wilwood)!

For the Mk2 - (me), Race Idiot (last post on page 1 of this thread)...not sure who else that's on here. Try and speak to Nick_r who's got them front and rear on his car, racing in the Nippon Challenge.

Loads more people with our stuff on the Mk1 as that kit's been around longer.
