Well understeer is always an issue on lower speed bends. But, it's rarely an issue at higher speeds. So at low speeds you often need to induce a bit of oversteer to get the nose turned in, but this shouldn't be an issue at higher speeds, so sounds like something not right with the suspender setup.

Jeez guys, its a mk1 mr2. Just accept understeer. (with or without arb's)

The wheelbase length imo is the biggest problem, which... incidently adds to the aw11's responsive handling or "feedback". This response, is what we enjoy at the compromise of true handling on for say a track.

In other words, a mk1 is better suited to autox than a track.

It wasn't designed to not understeer, when pushed hard.
But be nimble.

Judging by your avatar picture, you have a coupe. Fit a front strut brace and it will help reduce the understeer.

As for the rear strut brace, on a coupe it will make no difference whatsoever, I think the new speakers in the front affected the handling more than the rear strut brace!

I've just noticed that great big wing in your avatar. Is that your car? How much downforce is that producing?

GPWM - possible aero imbalance at higher speeds :-k

Indeed. Looking at the pictures in your gallery that front splitter looks to me to be too far from the ground to be giving any noticable effect. Can you get the car down a bit more? If you can get the splitter working a bit better you may be able to increase high speed front end grip without reducing rear end mechanical grip in slower corners. You'd end up with an altogether more planted car. Once you're running a bit lower you could also extend the splitter as far back under the car as possible.

To know whether this would work you really really need to know the spring and roll rates.

If your seized coilovers are the front ones, that could well be causing the understeer, if so just getting them serviced might well fix it.

If not, for a no-arb setup, just put softer springs on the front or stiffer on the the rear, you can go softer front if you've got ride height/damper travel to spare.
