Michael,

The link to the official parking permit for the stand is not working. What is happening regarding permits? Are we meeting up before entrance to give out permits and if so what time?

That link has worked now. Printed mine off in B&W on laser printer but it will have to do. Questions
1) Those putting their cars on the stand - is there a time by which we have to be there and if we dont make it by that time do we just park up with the rest of the public?
2) On the TOTB4 official parking pass it says "Car club parking pass no." I am assuming there is a number I have to put on here and if so what is it?

Thanks.

Sadly the organisers only dropped the pass system on me an hour before I posted it up - there wasn't really an explanation as to what we need to do and I haven't been able to find much out since.

However I have spoken to Emma from The Organisation and she'll be on the gate first thing - she knows it was late to implement the scheme so simply saying you are on the IMOC stand should be enough, we have space for a few extra cars so we should be able to cope OK :)

As for getting there - ideally you need to be there as early as possible to miss the crowds, I'll be there from 8am, you really need to try and aim for 9am if possible, it gets crazy after that but late arrivals shouldn't be a problem.... I hope.

It's new ground for the event this year so there might be a few issues but stay polite and the marshalls will look after you :)

Knowing elv it will be portaloo tastic... there used to be a portacabin with semi-permanent loos just by the gate as you come in, but those have been closed for months.. There should be a standpipe somewhere around that area, but tbh i've never looked..

If not no... its a 5min walk from where the stand is to the old portacabins.

I've just got back from Elvington, a bit wet at the moment but getting brighter by the hour so hopefully tomorrow wll be OK :)

Sadly there is no water for washing, as Lauren says the only running water will be from the taps in the toilets so bring a bottle

It looks as though the club parking area is going to be more "priority parking" than a JAE style layout, having been up today they have fenced off a concrete area of the normal carpark at the bottom for the clubs. As a result I'm not sure how much of a stand we'll be able to sort out or if the IMOC tents will go up OK without weights on the legs. We'll make the most of what they throw at us though so it should be OK :)

Be carefull on the access roads into the village, lots of crappy holes and standing water :(

Thanks Michael that's useful - I'll stick a couple of gazebos in the boot but I guess as long as we have a banner if it's nice we might not need them.

It might be handy to borrow one for the pit area Toni, both if you decide not to use them in the carpark bit - no reason why we can't setup on the grass and have a meeting area down there as far as I'm concerned, plus if gives us a bit of shelter to work on cars if necessary.

Totally agree - don't worry I'll be bringing them, it's just they need grass for anchoring.

I'll also be in my skyline rather than a Toyota due to incompetence of various suppliers :x , but I guess you guys don't mind, I am an honourary MR2 supporter :D
