So what ARE they actually for...??

They're listed as MR2 Mk3 (that'll be the roadster)...years 1991-95 (that'll be a Mk2, then?)

...then the description says they're suitable for the Mk1 (84-89).....??

Just posed the question

I got a reply from them and they said they'd cleaned up the Mk.3.

I needed to get the front control arm bushes replaced before I could have the camber set up by Northampton Tyres. The only place I could easily find individual poly bushes was the fensport superflex ones, which is what I got. I think I also got front lower arm inner bushes and they came to about half the price of a full set, but at the time I didn't want to replace the full set.

Since then my car has developed a wobble at the front which is not balancing because had that checked and the garage said there is minor tyre deformation but it's not that as I swapped front and rear wheels round. The other garage I used to use till they stitched me up on parts prices couldn't identify where the wobble was coming from and thought that it could be the shocks because of the new bushes causing any play to find its way to the shock rather than the bush.

I'll end up buying a whole set of bushes soon no doubt, I was going to get the full set of red bushes which are advertised for around £100 on one of the MR2 supplier sites, but if the general opinion is that superflex are better then I'll spend the £140 or so on them from fensport.

My car doesn't like pot holes but it is still on old dampers and springs so I think a complete overhaul of bushes and shocks is needed to get the taught but supple ride I'm after.
