Nice one Pete, you are in for one hell of a time !!

Will you be bring the Boxster

All people, you need to do nothing at the moment, September / October we will be able to book the ferry, January / February we can start booking the chateau.

I am happy to sort out parking agian this year, however I will need to order them by 15th February at the latest, so you will need to let me have your payment and name before the deadline.

Might see if we can park in the RED EXPO car park next year, bit flatter and smoother.

Regarding the Christmas party, I've contacted the following three hotels today to get an idea of prices for entertainment, menus, accommodation etc:

http://www.cathedralquarterhotel.com/index.html

http://www.handpickedhotels.co.uk/hotels/Priest-House/

http://www.parkfarmhouse.co.uk/default.htm

The third hotel on the list seems to have some kind of medieval theme going on, that could be interesting!! I will wait to see what they come back with and will post more information when I have it. Feel free to bring your own ideas to the table, this is your Christmas party too and so it should be a collaborative effort!! :thumleft:

Would it not be a better idea to have the Xmas party separate, to save this thread getting too cluttered?

Tiny, causing trouble already \:D/ and thats before the Desperado's !!

Reema the zoo we went to was in La Fleche and its superb, you need a full 9-5 day there, look out for the WHITE polar bears.

Have roped Jinx into help keep this event running smooth, as usual I'm going to have to delegate tasks to people, need people to organise the following:

Hotel in Rouen for stop over on way down

Parking tickets in white or red

Possible trip to Paris on the Tuesday after Le Mans for 2 night stop over and visit to Disneyland.

Ben's always causing trouble  And as for the "Guest to drive him home when he gets banned from driving in france again" comment [-X

Has anyone actually heard anything from Jason and Cheryl since we got back? Last time we saw them we'd just got off the ferry and they were being stopped by customs for the n'th time to make sure the camper van wasn't full of Albanians.

Reminds me must take MY driving licence next time, just in case

Saw Jason & Cheryl last weekend, fully recovered  Yes did get stopped, only briefly though, making sure no Albanians, think they got out before customs  Definitely up for next year \:D/

right people, regarding the christmas party...

i've had information back from the three hotels named above regarding what their packages include. i've also been in touch with warwick castle regarding their themed banquet nights, which look amazing i might add. obviously there's not a hotel in the castle itself, but there are plenty of hotels in the town centre which is minutes walk away from the castle. and warwick is still a fairly central location.

now, regarding actually organising the party, unfortunately i'm not in a position to be able to commit the time required i'm afraid, so i'm looking for someone to volunteer and provide me with their email address so i can forward the information i've been sent.

we also need to come to some kind of decision about which venue we like most. i think the warwick option sounds fabulous, and they're doing an early bird offer if you book before end july. this option could require a little more organisation however, as there will be an event and hotels bookings required via seperate venues.

anyway, come on peoples, lets have a show of hands please...
