I have since done this, and it fixed my instance of wind noise...

This seems to be the best 100% solution.

What does the door mirror mount look like?

For some reason I thought you've gone by now.

Damn, I'm getting old.

Check out the Spotted section - I saw matey with the Kawasaki green MR2 in Maidenhead today. Small world.

Mine used to be noisy on the driver's side above 50mph. Very annoying.

Sorry for the Necro, but does anyone know the part numbers for the door mirror mounts? This wind noise is getting right on my boobs.

Thanks.

Passenger side: 67514-17020
Driver side: 67513-17020

I noticed a big difference when I replaced my drivers side mount. I'm using the Velcro fix on the passenger side for now.

Does anyone have a picture of those parts, and did it include screws?

The screws aren't included. Part number for those is 90149-50051.

To add to that - the 3 small screws that attach the tweeter mount & mirror to the mounting plate are BASTARDS. You have to heat them up to get them out as they are threadlocked and even then they are made of cheese so will round off at the first available opportunity.

How would you recommend heating them? I was thinking touching the screws with a soldering iron.

the mirror on my beemer was doing the same.
it turned out to be wind blowing between the gap in the mirror its self.
between the mounting part it hinges on and the mirror head.

mine was worn so got a new mirror unit.
