and what crap explanations they are!

the new call of duty isnt the true sequel :-P

banjo kazooie is one of the best 3d platformers that have ever been released.

pure is a new game from disney (every so often they break away from the cute crap) that involves quads and some awesome tricks.

all point bulletin is the new game from the creator of GTA. crackdown was used to test the tech behind the new game there making (basically) so the new game will kick ass. think 100 player cops and robbers matches.

huxley i admit, i dont know much about but theres a huge buzz behind it so it cant be bad.

and far cry looks unreal like the first one did when it was launched.

i thought last year was good for gaming but this years even better.

I think it's been a slow year for games so far, then funny enough, leading up to Christmas there's loads...

Yes, Far Cry did look pretty but it turned out to be monotonous crap. I fear that the sequel shall fare no better.

Have you seen the video clip of it.

I had no intention of buying it as I just dont feel interested in WW2 but my god it looks STUNNING.

I wasnt sure from the video though if it was WW2 or if it was a Korean war?
I'm sure I saw lots of Palm trees :?

the new one is set in asia as opposed to europe like they normally are.

its the "pacific theater" i think. or something like that.

it does look good and im sure Treyarch are on a mission to prove they can make a good COD game.

plus there using the cod4 engine so they cant go too wrong.

October 24th (PS3) Bioshock (finally) :D

A few others stand out from the rest. Star Wars, Tomb Raider Underworld, Fallout 3, Saints Row 2, Ghostbusters (lost it's publisher last i heard so might not make an appearance this year :()

Quite a few driving games :D but will wait to see some demos but a wee bit excited about Konami's remake for the PSN of 90's arcade game GTi Club.

PS3 releases look a bit poor compared to the 360's for the rest of the year but hopefully 2009 will bring out some of the (delayed) big names (and Home)

Correct me if i'm wrong, but did the ps2 start very slowly then release much better games after a couple of years? I'm wondering if the same will happen with the ps3? As for Bioshock, obviously us 360 lot have been there and done it but seriously, i can't reccomend it enough. It's up there as one of my favourite games of all time. I hope the ps3 can do it justice! Think i might have to play it again for a new ending soon :)

Bioshock is great.

i jus love the start when you enter the lighthouse and the musics on and the auto lights click on.

dont kno why it jus seems like its done really well.

it must look even better with an extra years polish too.

FC2 does look pretty, whether it actually plays that well is another matter.

I played the original on the PC and it was great. Played FC instincts and its was rubbish, seriously bad, to the point I didnt get any further though the 1st level.

Just get the feeling they have rinsed it out for all its worth and unless they come up with new ideas and focus on gameplay and story then FC2 is going to be poo.
