Filler or no filler? Remove the vent panel above it, stick an inspection mirror and some light down there and observe what you find. It's the only way to know for sure.

I'm not going to get into the rights and wrongs of it, but I wouldn't buy it if I was in the market.
A fundament part of the interior lighting is missing wit hthe switches gone and the best bodywork in the world wouldn't detract from the fact its a bit of a bodge. It would make me wonder what else hadn't been done properly.

Nice and shiney though.

The only reason for not replacing the courtesy light switch is that the section it fits into is rusty. if its been plated over and it was decided that the light was not wanted(?) then fine. you still have to wonder what that plate was attached to. this would make me wary and would need investigation. i have never seen a sill with an extension to cover this area. i am not saying the job has not been done properly but why was it done like this ?

switch or no switch, that car looks ripe for a tubby or V6 conversion! I love the 1a lego cars, and shiny ones are so rare!

...not really - I managed to make a decidely pinky looking one look pretty damned respectable at Tatton a couple of years back. 1/4 bottle of Auto Glym Paint Rejuvinator, a ton of elbow grease, some polish and some trim detailer for the external black plastic bits and it looked fantastic. Looks is bull.

...not quite what I meant but I suppose it could be taken that way. **ha ha**. The earlier ones were a brighter red and I think come up a little better with a little effort. I think that was my point really.
