Good day out! 22 year old mk1a made 114bhp 8) Although the alternator belt threw in the towel and the cap on the coolant bottle decided to burst itself too

Rescue services couldnt get a belt so onto the back of a lorry it went! #-o

Nice meeting everyone anyway!

well to be honest mate 1st it cracked right at the join at manifold and the pipe that comes off the manifold to the flange for the external wastegate thursday night, so i took it off and got welded friday night and stuck it back on friday night, was great friday night and then saturday i went to go to milton keynes for a bit of shopping, got half way there and the external wastegate flange completely cracked off so the external wastegate was flapping around, luckily i had a bracket on the screamer pipe which stopped it from flying out from under the car at 70mph .

Im a little stumped as to what to do at the moment, i dont know wether to reweld and see or just buy a new tubular manifold. :-k

Nick its cracking due to stress and vibrations and mainly because its stainless, i had a steel one made in the states for 150 usd which has no supports and bracing, its doesnt look pretty but it will never ever crack.

So either you can have that one welded and braced whilst its on the car or buy another non stainless version.

If you need some help give me a shout.

Certainly was a more interesting sunday than usual. :thumleft:

I was very impressed with my baby, reaching 262.7 BHP :D Even after the temperature gauge going a bit weird on arrival. :?

BIG thanks to "2bartuning" for setting up my EBC, as it was set up crap  I certainly felt the difference on the drive home.

Had more temperature probs on way home though, needle was going up and down a lot, and was very close to being off the top of the scale when i got home!! :( Hopefully its something silly.

Anyway, nice to meet you all, shame i had to leave just before the Supra went on, :( missed that one.

Thanks to Juggernort too, for all the crisps n chocolate, and of course for the convoy there and back. :thumleft: Nice one mate!

Dean. :D

Yeah no worries peeps.

Have to do it again some time. Maybe same time next year hype us up for JAE again.

Alex, James and I cracked up thanked our lucky stars when that copper went past. Would be good to see someone cut the video down into single car videos and put on internet.

Good to meet new people etc and look forward to a spirited drive up to JAE now with my Tein Super streets :thumleft:

Great day out, some nice peeps there, although a bit sad that i was the only one who was down on power and witnessed I have major problems.

My first dyno back in Sept 06 with less mods had 262bhp and 268lbs of torque.

I added an EBC, Downpipe and motoria exhaust since and although for a while it felt very quick power started going and I thought I was getting used to the speed.

I had dynoed 211bhp at 1.1bar on the first run, Boost started dropping near the end where it used to hold perfectly.
After the 3rd run I got 179bhp and 185lbs of torque and was running AFR figures of 19+!! Apprantly im being told its blocked either fuel filter or pump/ downpipe/exhaust blocked, 1 of my cylinders has gone...etc
Could be turbo messed up?

Im giving it to Skywalker over the week to have a look at.. I hope its nothing serious as I was expecting to hit at least 300bhp with my mods

It doesnt sound right to go down 50bhp and 80lbs of torque and drop power after 1 or 2 runs...especially with mods!!
Congrats to all the other peeps who got high figs....Ryans supra looked and sounded stunning!!

500bhp is impressive and its pulling me towards Supra! Some nice cars there too oh and Thanks for arranging the event Reece. Wasnt a bad day...at least I found out I had problems.

yep some very impressive figs by CB....
gained about 40bhp with ryans boost tweaks, altho i asume he must of raised boost a good 3psi at least...
still very good figures...and am sure EVERYONE could hear and see you was over the moon! pmsl!

as for misterTs, very good figs as well on a stock turbo, however peaking at 6500 on raised boost does sound very much like you got a hybrid on there (that you dont know about) and to hit those figs at only 0.9bar or whatever it was. looked ace tho! just saw your profile, was gutted cause i would have asked you about your speedhut oil temp and pressure guages...as i got the dials and boost guage from speedhut also! dam!

think matt was a little disappointed peak power wise, but 310+ lb or torque is dam impressive and must go like a bat out of hell! DP upgrade and sort the actuator probs, and skys the limit!

ants, really dont no what to suggest, get it off to luke, see what he recons...i wouldnt have thought the turbo would be goosed. blocked injector, fuel filter? bad spark ignition wise?

lovely to see james's TRD on the rollers, tweaking the boost to get into the dyno lead, lol! looked sweet! very nice interior!

am sure everyone saw my crazy overfueling, black smoke on boost over 5k rpm...least i got plenty of fuel there for a decent map. lol.

nice to meet 2crooky as well, crazy bare foot driver!

Yeah was great to put some faces to names.

Was happy with my 268fwhp (226rwhp) and 275lb.ft of torque.

That was only at 1.0bar. Thanks to Ryan for diagnosing a weak actuator preventing me from running at 1.2bar.

Will hopefully get that replaced in the coming weeks, so fingures crossed for a good 290fwhp run at the next dyno.

Well after the first run he set the controller to achieve full boost and hold 1.15 bar max at 5K which enabled better power & torque reading. Graph shows a near perfect straight line.

Yeah was pretty over joyed
