What exactly is going on here?

I posted 30th Aug, asking to join this event, and got 5th reserve space.

6 people have since pulled out, though 1 was a watcher. This would make me 20 out of 20, but despite frequent checks there had been no updates of the page 1 list to confirm this.

The, on 23rd Sept (this morning) another member, Elmo Owen, asks if there is any space and is told to come along.

And now - the night before the event - the revised list is:

Runners
1. ALPHAMR2
2. Merc FEdwards
3. Becci (ducatichick)
4. Bry
5. Nick
6. Mel
7. Markiii
8. Ryan
9. Julian
10. Officer Jim
11. Earl
12. Steve
13. Antstarr
14. Jonb
15. Benf
16. 3sgte
17. Philster_d
18. Elmo Owen.
19. RaceDesign (Niteramr2) Mart
20. Injury_Ian

MR2 Reserves
1. RichyMR2
2. afennell
3. Ian Geary
4.
5.

So Elmo gets 18 out of 20 space, but I'm still 3rd reserve after over a month..?

Would anyone care to explain the logic of this to me please?

Have we abandoned the English queuing system, and switched to a continental one?

This leaves me wondering whether to get up early and trek round the M25 to go to this tomorrow. As I'm still down in the reserves, there seems little point.

All credit for organising these events, but this strikes me as really amaturish, and has left me a bit annoyed (as you can probably tell :) )

I would say you'll def be running as Jim is still on the list and he's not coming aswell as Julian and Mark edwards so definately space mate.Frank originally organised the day but due to unforseen circumstances has had to drop out which has left the who's running list in a bit of a mess,so I wouldn't worry you'll be ok

Hi Bry,

cheers for the reply.

"Strikes me as really amaturish" was a bit harsh - I can imagine how these things get hard to keep on top of -so I'll take that back and replace it with "has taken the shine off the event a bit".

It's just I need to know if I'm going to get my Sunday lie in, or whether I have to set the alarm tomorrow.

See you tomorrow.

If anyone wants my space on the day i really don't care that much what power i've got but hopefully we've enough room for all of us.

There is plenty of room to fit people in. I'll sort out the order in the morning. But It won't be a problem to fit people in, especially now a couple have dropped out.

OK. people.....

I know what it is like to turn up at a rolling road day hoping to get a chance to run my car, and end up not running.. :(

So.... ;)

I am going to try my hardest to get everyone who turns up, on the dyno.

Plan is to run through the list of runners (1-20) and then keep going until we have got through everyone who wants to run :).

Either me or Claudio will liase with ENSMR2 to sort out running order, if anyone else who wants to run tomorrow can let N know who they are and i'll sort you out. I'd like any reserves to be around by lunch time so i know how long i will be staying.

I'd like to run any Non-MR2's near the end of the list so that i can keep the same wheelbase on the dyno. That doesnt mean it has to stay that way though.

Looking forward to putting some faces to user names.
