Seems a pretty honest accurate review. :thumleft:

That would really p*ss me off! Waiting to install every game you put in. No thanks.

Yeah it does p1$$ ya off a bit, but on the plus side you get faster loads times once its installed, so its not all bad.

Anyone spotted the flickering shadows yet, both 360 and ps3 suffer with it.

Also has anyone nicked a car and got there arm stuck in the door..... being dragged down the road is a pisser

360 vs ps3 argument is getting proper boring now, just play the game on whatever system you have.

Unusually the game is the same price on both consoles.

Have fun playing it chaps, try and keep all your many posts about it in this thread instead of flooding the whole section with posts about it!

What the hell happened to the camera and why did they pinch the shock absorbers for all the cars from Driver on the PS1

My plan was foiled:

Go to work
Book wednesday off work for hangover
Finish work
BUy a load of beer and cigs for football
Buy GTA
Get drunk and enjoy football
Wake up wednesday afternoon and enjoy GTA whilst ridding self of hangover

Only problem is that tesco and xtravision (blockbuster) was all out of gta
 now i'm gonna have to get up tomorrow and got to all the local tesco/ currys/ game/ pcworld until i find somewhere that has it ](*,)

It's a good job you don't have to with every game then ;) GTA is the first game I've had that pre-installs content to the HD - IMO a very good idea, makes it quicker in-game, well worth a one-time wait of a few minutes.
The developers *wanted* to do that with all versions but Xbox was let down by having the 'core' (no hard drive) in the lineup, personally I would've done it anyway and added a harddrive to the requirements list.

Anyone finding that the framerate lags when there is loads happening on screen. Ive heard about it on the 360 but Im getting it on my ps3, framerate is nowhere near as good as burnout paradise, great game though.

Totally agree...but then I go on with the argument I just claimed I didn't support... :p

It's ok, the feelings of inadequacy will just melt away when your Xbox takes its rightful place as a doorstop/paperweight and you finally buy a proper console like the PS3.

Hey hey hey, I'm the one who tries to keep the arguments about each console in threads that they should be in.
I've said a few times on here this is about GTA not what console is better!

H3RB - you must have had alot of time on your hands to finish that off in less than a week!

You only do it once.

What about when you get your downloadable content from Xbox lives, do you not have to install it?

I really don't get what your issue is. Isn't it a stupid oversight on the Xbox that it doesn't utilise the hard disk (because not all have one).

So basically i wait for 7 mins for it to install to the HDD. Then for the next 200hours of gameplaying I wait half the time you do for cutscenes to load and the like.

Think i'd rather do the waiting (well all 7 mins of it) in one go thanks.

I don't think its a mega issue. Getting used to it is not immediate though and it did catch me out a few times, but i'm getting the hang of it now. I think its better overall, particularly using the right stick to flick between targets.

Not managed to find a helicopter yet, am guessing will have to wait until i open up the next island and go to the helipad.
