The Ring

Post by John Helps »

Just for bthe record ... I am not going to the RING.

I have a car problem which is stopping me getting the RX-7 mot..ed, so no Ring just now anyway.

I can speak to the Hotel staff so thats Ok ..

I have a ferry ticket if anyone wants to go........ its for next week..call me if you want it on 01737 227947 H or 220490 W

Exactly ..Out 08-07-2005 @ 6.45 AM
..Back 11-07-2005 @ 9.15 AM.. I asked for 9.15 pm (21.15)

It cost me £100 but Ill sell for £80 if thats any good to anyone.
otherwise I'll call them up and get it transferred or refunded.

Ben & Si and Lauren and Paul Port and all going.....Have a good time everyone and see you soon drive carefully.

With the Ring trip nearly upon us there are a few of us (hopefully) convoying down there on teh morning of the 8th.

I have already PM'd Stuart and Dom.

If anyone else is coming and is on the 7.45am from Dover please let me know and we'll see you on the ferry!

Can't wait!!

I am 99/5% done on my uni work, hand it in monday, got a couple of days to sort the car, then my birthday and next day on the ferry to the Ring. :thumright:

Well yes I guess so ... Its an ABS problem Si's been helping me its the most difficult fault to find with all the normal routes checked including an ABS CU Change / hydraulic unit change / Sensor check / sensor change
I just cant find it Im seriousely thinking of removing the ABS the brakes on that car are brilliant anyway but I cant get it through a legal MOT and I dont want to risk it...no mot no insurance...

I might go and see that SC on ebay offer him £1900 if the car is sound

Just out of interest what have you guys with older cars (10 yrs+) done for breakdown cover.

I can't seem to get any one to cover my Rev1.

Would want some cover for piece of mind.

Thanks

Will do.

I'm not in the IMOC group - just a coincidence it's the same weekend.

The AA wouldn't extend my cover for Europe !!!! Not happy.

Oh well will have to take a risk. [-o<

What an absolute awesome trip :D

Everything that could happen pretty much did, one of my friends didnt make it back in his car because the gearbox broke on his first lap  he ended up with a hire car to get him home, his car is still im Germany and we dont think it will be coming back :(

It was one of the best holidays ive ever had and we will be going again next year for shure :D

It was nice to meet Lauren and Ben even if it was only for a short amount of time
