 That wasn't part of the original design aims but I guess it's an added USP

What type of literature do spacesavers read is the next question :-k I guess I'll know if I go to the garage later and find Michelin catalogues and the tyre sealant everywhere

Last night I tackled another of the areas which has been bugging me since the engine swap, in the form of the silicone hoses. Long time viewers will remember the engine was crammed full of a mix of blue and black vac and boost hoses, which Peter (correctly) decided needed to be replaced by a much less shouty black. The only ones left (due to not knowing sizes etc) were the boost pipes.

As things stood before (note the tatty strut brace bolts  )

The clamps were all also replaced, to get rid of the old grubby jubilees and Mikalor pieces, in favour of some good quality stainless.

Out with the old

Intake pipe with the new silicone on. The straight piece was an absolute sod to put on! 70-60mm reducer on the other end

The hot pipe, before a series of modifications to the hose feeding into the CC core, as it needs to be a pretty specific length for each leg

One in. Excuse the light imbalance, it's the combination of a flash of energy saving bulbs in the garage #-o

Right, what's next :-$

It's called G2, made by a company called Nimbus Motorsport. Used extensively by the aircraft and professional motorsport industries.

About £160 per square metre:

Yup, you were completely right with your suggestion :thumleft:

Somewhat of a departure from what it looked like a little over a year ago when I first bought the blue car

Add in about 5 hours to make the custom wrapping for the pipes and however long it took Peter to make the heatshield cover too. That and several layers of skin :eye:
