I've changed the thermostat housing but the car is still not running yet. 8-[
I've now bought a Momo steering wheel and Ferodo fast road pads, should be better then the greenstuff pads.

Hooray the track day car is now back up and running but it's badly smoking, looks like the piston rings and now the alternator is not charging the battery. ](*,) So I do need a new engine then.

Is the painting really required for a track car?
Are you going for a std respray or a track based colour scheme?

Hi Jo, As the rear arches are still in primer and the rest of the car is 6 shades of red. Along with replacing the front bumper and possibly bonnet i was thinking some kind of red faded to black with a checked pattern on the doors. Will be playing around with photoshop, might just leave it all red and get some decals.

sort the rust as theres not much car left!
get the weight down even more
build up my 4agze into a 4agte and get it running
fit the mk2 tubby rear arb.
build a trailer so i can transport it
get a towing vehicle

all this by may as im booked on a trackday at cadwell

I've bought new rear quarters, front wings and front valance panels so far, before the car is going in for a full respray.

Will probably replace the sills and front bumper bar as part of this too, depending on how much rust is revealed...

Just replaced the rear calipers for new ones, along with discs & pads and put it through the MOT last week.

Going to Toyota this Saturday for a coolant flush & change and a new standard exhaust is going on soon too!

edit: Add a teardrop refurb to that list too...
