How do I do it?

This link is suggesting I butcher a standard lead

But it looks messy and not keen on destroying a perfectly good cable.

My amp doesnt support HDMI before some one suggests that.

it's the thing that has the optical connection for the 360, well it came free with my elite so to you it'll be ... free! I've no need for it

i butchered my componant lead, took the plastic casing off, ripped out the video wires and then bent up the optical port and now my hdmi fits perfect

Mr PCP has very kindly offered me his one from his Elite package.

I looked on play and they dont seem to sell anything like what I would need.
