[Mk2] [NA] How to get MORE FUEL IN?

Post by Noisyhooligan »

Hi All, does anyone have any ideas as to how to get more fuel into a 3SGE NA Rev2?
The engine has been balanced, block and head skimmed to give 10.5:1 comp, ported, racing exhaust, cat by-pass pipe, air con disc. etc. dyno'd at 171bhp then a Superchips Icon added (another +8 allegedly) and a fuel boost pump fitted. The traces seem to indicate it needs more fuel but any ideas as to how to do that?

Best Regards,
H.

I honestly dont know how the set up is on an N/A. but you could talk to Nathan at cenury on the affiliates page who supplied me with a bored out fuel rail for my turbo - then I would guess you would need some larger injectors and something to run them other than the stock ecu - I dont know how much if any there is scope to do this with your super chip? and of course an aftermarket fpr.
Sorry this is so vague but as already stated I dont know that much about N/A's (or turbos for that matter :clown: )

You will want bigger injectors, a bigger fuel pump, a fuel pressure regulator - and some form of ECU control (piggy back or standalone). In truth if you get a piggy back / standalone you will be able to increase the injector duty cycle to give more fuel (as I seriously doubt the stock injectors or pump on your car are anywhere near maxed out)

That super chips thing you have is only good for ignition adjustment.

Only 171bhp for all that tuning work? I would expect more, dosnt the GE make almost that power from standard?
