Mate I've got a PS2 and a PSP. Had a PS1 for ages. Nothing against Sony what-so-ever. Great company. DEFINATELY not a Microsoft fan-boy either!....they p1$$ me off more than most companies ever have!!....BUT the 360 its a damn good games console.

LBP looked nice, just found it to be a boring platformer really. Responds WAAAY to slowly and its not responsive enough for the type of levels its got.

My mate has completed it (unlocked everything) and created quite a few levels of his own. We played through the 'best' levels of the single player game and tried out 4-5 of the levels others had made so I got a good view of what is has to offer.

My mate really liked it but said it can get very annoying. Looked nice just not my type of game, thats all.

I'm not a sony whore at all, i bought a 360 on release day and have had another 3 since.

I wonder if you'd like resistance on ps3 if you played it as it's a great game but on ps3.

As the prices for standalone Blu-ray players drop lower and lower, the reasoning for telling folks who rarely play games to pick up a PS3 is quickly lessening. That also means that 360 owners who are looking to get into the Blu-ray game might be a little less likely to pick up a PS3 for that means since they already have a gaming device and can save cash by going with a standalone player.

For folks who haven't yet entered the HD-era of gaming, the Xbox 360's lower sticker price stays true even after picking up necessary components for the system, like a WiFi adapter. Since the PlayStation 3 doesn't ship with HD cables, that additional cost is pretty much a necessity (unless you already own component cables for the PS2), and if you intend to play online, you'll probably want to pick up a headset as well. You can get one bundled with numerous games (Warhawk, SOCOM or EndWar for instance), but you'll have to want those games or pick it up separately.

It's clear that Sony needs to drop the price of the PlayStation 3 sooner than later. The inclusion of Blu-ray certainly makes the system a more complete package than the 360, but at a higher cost, and as standalone players drop in price, the premium isn't as eye-catching.

There is just no reason to buy a PS3. Resistance isnt as good as Gears. Little Big Planet isnt worth buying a console for. MGS4 is great but again it offers nothing major over the old ones and MGS1 still has the best story.

That leaves Final Fantasy 13, one of the biggest titles for Sony that will now be on 360 in the west anyway!

why does EVERYBODY compare games to gears?? gears really is naff, please somebody explain to me whats so great about it, the graphics are OK nothing special all the textures look wet and there are only so many shades of grey one game can have. the controls are clunky and the store is boring. online is naff also, so whats so great about it seriously?
the ps3 has some awsome games, playing uncharted drakes fortune will pretty much blow you away! id take it over gears any day

I mean, it's okay and an enjoyable romp, but I have to agree with Herb about the colour or lack of: Anyone remember Quake with the brown? Same here, but with grey.


The characters were a bit obvious and one-dimensional, the targeting + cover system wasn't the easiest to use, and aside from the stay in the light level it wasn't exactly bursting with new ideas. That said, I never got into it MP so I don't know if that side of the game is as good as they say, but as an SP-only game it was good, just not outstanding.

It looks like the real world, not a cartoon. Not everything is in vivid colour, especially when everthing is in ruins.

True, but it's only a computer game not real life so I'd like some more colour in it like GoW2 had please

yes there is some colour in it but seriously compared to uncharted there is no colour at all

theres the problem.

GR2 was really good aswell. Not as good as the originals on the xbox but still an awesome war game.
