I've never had good luck with bodyshops.

They always seem to charge the earth, do a rubbish job, and take twice as long as they said they would.

So, I didn't relish the thought of shopping around when the insurance gave me money to get my car straight.

After quite a few recommendations from people, and having seen their work on Driftworks, I chose to travel all the way down to Wokingham

(Reading way) to get some repair work done to my car.

I'd had a smash on the M1 which had split my Airwalker rear bumper in two, and caved in my driver's side front wing.

I had also got some TOM's skirts

(replica, from JeffD) and a border front bumper

(replica, from Skywalker) to fit, and the insurance money more or less paid for it.

I bought a new front wing from Toyota

(again, the insurance was paying so why not!) and dropped it down at Little Knocks with all the bits and pieces.

I had replaced the crash bar on the back of the car, along with the bumper mounts etc.

I also fitted a new toblerone on the driver's side as it had cracked.

Chris from LK said to come back in a week and off I went.

I got the car back yesterday and I am amazed

- you'd never know the rear bumper had ever even been off the car, and considering the quality of the front bumper wasn't great to start with it looks immaculate! The rear bumper has been reinforced on the back with a layer of carbon fibre

- an idea that Chris suggested having had the same treatment on his own car.

There are hi-res versions at

I think Dave

(oddshoes) took some photos at the Milton Keynes meet recently which I'll link to once they've been posted.

Little Knocks specialise in repairing small dents, scratches etc, as you will have guessed from their name.

However, two of the guys who own the company drift 200SX's and as a result have had quite a lot of experience repairing jap cars, getting them to show standard, and pieceing fibreglass back together.

This enthusiasm for the scene coupled with the fact that their own drift cars are covered in Little Knocks logos and they're obviously very proud of their work meant that I was very happy to leave my pride and joy with them.

So, that's no delays, work completed on time to a very high standard, no hidden costs and no surprises!
