It depends, the X clamp fixes a melted chip that freezes the console up doesnt it? He's saying his turns on fine and works but there's no picture.
That could be something totally un-related to what the X-clamp fixes?

just spent the best part of an hour speaking with some one from microsoft to get it fixed, although he wasnt very bright, and kept telling me to go into the system menu etc even though i had told him that there is no picture and i cant see what im meant to be doing!!
having to send it back and pay 58 quid to get it fixed, i really needed some play time as ive being working solid on my house shifting over 20 tonne of concrete, soil and plaster out of it, and have about the same again to still come out.My back is breaking.

Nails wrote:I would of tried that but the people you speak on the phone to are unbelivably stupid.
You know how indian call centres they had them watching corra and eastenders so they could learn'english' and our supposedly accents? Well these are also foreign, but with yank accents.
They couldnt understand me or my lass(who works on the phones for living), so I wasnt getting anywhere with them, I got her to process the fix and use her card as it was getting picked up from hers, and her last name is punter, everytime she tells some one she has to say punter with a P, coz most people write down hunter or bunter instead, but this guy wrote it down wrong still and when the letter came it was addressed to Miss Kunter lol!
