I've always feared for the bonnets of cars in photoshoots. Some non-too-skinny "Moggle" usually in heels all over the front of it. The worst one I saw was a girl in Rolelrskates! I suppose the Mk1 would fair better than most, it's a small bonnet and it's fairly solidly built. Wouldn't you keep sliding off though? Perhaps Jinxy can answer these questions for us!

Well, what an amazing day !! a lot of it was waiting around, because they were taking cover shots of Elly ( La Roux ) which went on for about 5 hours , i was made to feel so welcome & part of the team by everyone & as the day progessed we sat chatting & talking like old friends, she even dressed me up in some of the Huge jewelry & glasses she was asked to wear for some of the shots & took photo's of me with my camera, the atmosphere was that relaxed. Elly is 21 years old & her music tastes are firmly set in the 80's, her music is typical 80's electro with a modern feel to it, she was signed to an 80's electo record lable in France called Kitsume with whom she released Quicksand her first propper single on 15th Dec only a few days ago, then was snapped up by Polydor records.
It was Elly's idea to have a MK1 on the album as she has always been a huge fan of the MK1 & in fact i couldnt get her out of my car prior to the photoshoot she loved it so much !! . The car was pictured with Elly sideways on & photos were also taken through the open roof & from the front screen looking into the car, the backdrop is hoped to have superinposed scenes pretty much like a futuristic robocop type background.
As soon as things settle down next year she has asked me to view any potential cars that take her fancy & even source one for her if necessary , just had an email to say that there will be a signed single in the post as well as an album which will be on sale from March 2nd & an invite to a gig when she starts touring .
