Air Filters

Post by SuperRedMR2 »

Right,

Time has come to change my Blitz filter that is in my boot.

I am looking to fit a filter directly to my throttle body. I would put my current one on there, but it is too heavy and sags without additional support.

What are the most effective, possible minima power gains and give a nice little whistle when you give it some beans?

The 57i for the Mk1b comes with a piece of hose that extends the filter out far enough for the sensor to be installed.

You still need to drill a hole to fit it though.

The 57i filter has a couple of holes in its base for the two sensors that need relocating :thumleft:

I could just use my existing silicon tube drill a hole and push it in then? I take it, it doesnt have to go a certain distance from the TB or does it?

No its plug and play, as above theres 2 holes in the mk1b filter, one for the temp sensor and one for the idle up pipe.

If you can't fit a 57i kit you shouldnt be working on the car :thumleft:

57i kit dead simple to fit comes with all instructions you need. No holes need drilling - the one part you need to relocate bolts through an existing hole. And it sounds good. Buy it!!!
