I can't see having the other plugs out making any difference - they're not going to affect the compression of another cylinder.

Did all of the breathers mate up with the early inlet manifold? I'm just wondering if some breather or other from the engine is going to the wrong place on the inlet manifold and getting the odd trickle of oil now and again and burning off? I'm not an expert on the 4A so I'm not sure if the breathers and oil lines are the same between the mk1a and b.

From the outside, they look like a perfect fit. Although I personally didn't fit it, so can say for sure. Will double check tomorrow :wink:
