Thanks for that Phil,
How did your spread with the 5mm led's turn out?
Every How To I've seen gives you the link to the bulbs and they're never there, once I've got all mine sorted I'll do a list of the types of bulb needed as weel as the link. The Mcd was one of my main worries as I don't want to end up being blinded.
Just noticed your only in Whitby too, less than 20 miles away.

Everyone looks at me when I drive down the road now....... wish I could read minds.
Hi, not far at all
No problem with the guide, the spread on the 2 LEDs is rather crap really, some colored bulbs maybe better if you can get them.
The brightness of the buttons is spot on though, if your going blue i imagine you'll be able to get a lower MCD led as they seem to be clearer than red which is what i have.
Might actually be heading up your way this saturday, might be going to Brotton to get a quote at North Eastern Tyre and Exhausts, i have an exhaust that needs repairing.
I didnt get my exhaust back off the person that was supposed to be doing it so fingers crossed i will get it back and go up this saturday, been waiting to long now for this exhaust
Just wanted to let everyone know that the first ebay link posted, the seller is a douche. i bought almost 60$ worth of lights for the mr2 and my tundra, the same ones listed in the auction. wrong lights sent and he basically told me to get bent, so if you want lights like that i wouldn't recommend buying from him.
yeah i know thats why i ordered them, but they don`t fit.
the clocks are mounted on clear plastic frames, the frames have angled tabs pointing at the bulbs to carry the light (like fibre optics) these stop the leds going in.
Strange,
Defo same as I've got and the two extra I sold to another member also fitted fine. Was a very tight fit though on the length, if you're only a mm or 2 short just twist them in.

What you need to do....
When you take the bulb holder out...
Look inside, you should see 2 plastic black spikes sticking up
Get a small flathad in there and break these out
They don't give alot of extra clearance, about 1mm
But mine went in fine when they were out, had to give the two main middle ones abit of a push to get them in.
Be carfull you don't rip the tesco plastic bag circuit board!
Good times
i bought some mate and they fit fine! the only problem is the bulb nearest the fuel gauge is not working (i have tried spare bulbs). any ideas? it seems to screw in ok...?
