finally picked her up!! - new pics 10/01/09

Post by rev3 »

After waiting 2 long weeks i picked her up on saturday. Its an N plate rev3 turbo, 63k, grade 4 in the auction. Mods as far as i can tell are:

-full roll cage
-HKS Hi-Power exhaust
-HKS air filter
-after market HT leads
-enkei 16" staggered wheels with yoko dna gp tyres
-JIC coilover rear suspension/standard bilstein front struts
-green stuff brake pads front/red stuff at the rear
-razo gear knob/pedals
-Uber large GT wing (not decided if i like it yet)
-Bride passenger seat (now drivers seat)/Tom's drivers seat (now removed because a bit hardcore for me)

Jobs to do:

-change front tyres as garage put on 225 at the front and back, i want 205 at the front, any recommendations?
-clear front lens
-general good clean

all comments welcome[/img]

Love it, looks great. Then again I do also have a white rev3 turbo with a cage, GT wing and 16” white enkei wheels.
What’s a Toms seat look like btw.

Thanks for the comments.

The Tom's drivers seat is basically a moulded bucket seat so no adjustment and its been adapted to fit on Bride rails, i maybe selling this at some point.

The roll cage is fully padded in that orange foam, its black underneath.

Insurance did not increase too much with the roll cage plus they should see it as an extra safety feature

Coming from a honda background (integra/prelude) i must say the turbo feels brutal and not having to work the nuts off the engine is nice for a change. Will have to get use to the rwd handling though

I paid £205 for a used bride seat for my Pass side (already have Bride one in drivers side) and it was definatly worth it, they hold you in great :D. They are the same as yours but without the BRIDE bit writen on the headrest.

When they were new they were something like £500 - £600!!!

Great looking car :thumleft: White is my favourite colour for an MR2 and the wheels are sweet.

You just need to find a nice clean rev3 or rev5 spoiler now. Sorry, imo the spoiler-less look, whilst being to some people's taste, is not quite right.

Rev5, I reckon :thumleft: Would give it an agressive, but subtle look 8)

Lovely car chap, don't think the GT wing suited it though as its too 'clean'.

Agree a rev 5 combat spoiler would look good :thumleft:

few more pics

Post by rev3 »

A few more pics after a compound polish and wax. A couple of changes - standard black rev3 spoiler (think it looks good in black - someone asked if it was carbon the other day ;-) White dials fitted and light weight wheel nuts. Got a new front bumper to fit as current one lets the car down a bit.

new front lip

Post by rev3 »

Decided to make the front look abit different so i got a MADpsi front carbon lip spoiler from another forum member and finally got round to fitting it. I must say the front bumper does take a bit of work to remove. I was after a subtle look and this lip retains the OEM look and follows the contours of the OEM bumper. It is also a perfect fit unlike many aftermarket bumpers, hope you like it:

bumper back on car, obviously needs a good polish and finishing off.
