xbox joining friends

online i can join all my friends games
except one
my bro in law which is very very important as me and him are very very competative on it
but as of 3 days ago we cannot play speak or anything

any reason why ? anyone had this???

we have both tried turning of our modems/ re entering them as friends??

prefering the player


anything else we can try??

one of your routers doesnt like the other one so there not talking to each other.

get your 360's IP address and go into your routers settings.

look for something called the DMZ and put the IP in there.

only one of you should need to do it but youll need to figure out which one.

i think it will be mine as it comes up with something like that when i play unreal it says i cannot host games???

ill have a look tonight
just gotta work out how to get into my router settings now (its a bt home hub)

yea id try yours first then.

i think DMZ is de-militarized zone or something. it basically puts your 360 outside any of the routers software or firewall.

safe to do with a 360 tho as live is a closed network.

with my router i have to enter 192.168.1.1 into my browser but im sure google will help ya.

jus about everyones got the home hub.
