Do you how strict they're going to be with this Mich?
Is it gonna be just one test in the morning, or testing throughout the day?..............
Just thinking if my exhaust bung were to fall out on a run back to the pits....
Hopefully the car will be capable of tens, just whether i am with limited time before the event to get a time in.
It sounds as thought they are going to have to be pretty strict this year, unless you are already famous to TOTB, get 50% of the DVD coverage, have 4x4 and an unlimited budget of course
I suspect the tests will be fairly random based on who is making lots of noise but if everyone can aim to be 103db or less that would help, if your bung falls out hopefully we'll find it after a few runs
Michael, Its Andrew here from gtschris -chris is on holiday at the moment
Being realistic we're not going to get the circuit car re-shelled in time so if you would please withdraw my entry.
We'll still be there with the drag car but we will need consideration on the 103db rule as we're likely to be above that.
Looking forward to seeing you all on the day
Thanks again Andy. and Chris
I've notified the organisers and let them know about Chris being noisy too.
See you on the day, is Chris bringing the mobile house again?
Yes we'll be coming down and stopping in the motor home.
How many people are staying on sat nite? do you guys want us to bring a sound system and BBQ? plenty space in the fridge for people's beer etc.........
Good news on the awning setup, if the weather is OK shall we try to get that up on Saturday? I'll be on site at 4pm (ish) to get us the same spot as last year and sort some bits and pieces out.
Did anyone pick up my can of road spray paint last year? It comes in handy to mark out our bit
The security / helper people usually have a bit of a party the night before so hopefully you'll all have fun.

Yes, please ask them not to cash the cheque. I've spent too much cash already trying to sort this out - no point in wasting another 100 quid.

Message sent, hope you get things sorted.
Got the refund cheque from them this morning, I was more than a little sad to see it tbh...

Did you not get your ign probs sorted then?
No mate, I didn't. Car won't even start at the moment and I'm a bit disillusioned with it again to be honest. I need to swap out the distributor next as that's about the only thing left that could be causing the issue.

I generally get one spark when I crank it and then nothing. I've checked continuity between the igniter casing and chassis and that seems fine (is there another I should check?).
I had a chat with Peter at SBits yesterday and he was very helpful - the thinking now is that the Motec is not getting a signal from the distributor to fire the coil, so I'm going to try swapping that out at the weekend.
