[Mk2] [Turbo] Anyone installed Xenon's in a rev 2?

Just wondering if anyone here has installed a xenon kit in a rev 2?

Can it be done or will the beams be all over the place in the stock headlight units?

Also what size are mr2 rev 2's ?? H4's ????

Do you mean HIDs?

The beam would be all over the place unless you use the rev6 lights. xenon kit are only designed for projection lights.

If you fit them to your standard lights you could be pulled or even fail your mot. (plus allot of people with drive towards you with full beam on as they will think your using full beam)

so whats the best thing to do to use HID's in a rev 2? get the rev 6 lights put in?

cool, just found projector headlights on ebay for the rev 2, real cheap.

cool chap tbh you'll notice the projection are 100% better than standard. So not sure you'll even need the other kit

And they look good too. Flash the high beam fast and it looks like a strobe light

I've had HID's in my 2 for a couple of years now twinned with a set of Raybrigs. They've pasted 2 MOTs at 2 different testing centres and I love them.
The only thing I would change is getting a set with HID high/low beam rather than the HID low beam and Halogen main combo that I got via a group buy on here.
Not sure about getting lens's off ebaybut a H4 HID kit can be picked up for around £125. My local chav showroom (Rtec) does the virtual daylight kits which are HID high/lows which some of the guys from MR2oc bought.

i bought the bi-xenon kit which is the hi/lo, i dont know why anyone whould still have the hi halogen, the lo hid is briighter then it

Hi Gline,

If the projector headlights are from the US then don't get them as the light spread is on the wrong side and will blind oncoming traffic and proably get you stopped.

Step away from those.

Few people have reviewed them and they don't light up the road at all and look sh*t on the car.

Go for HID and Raybrig lenses mate...although everyone seems to be after the Raybrigs

as long as its an import then yes and you say its a turbo so its an import so there relatively easy to fit and good choice matey youl love em

Will the Raybrigs fit a UK mk2 rev2?
I want some new lights as my nearside glass is all cracked....so a good time to upgrade.
