'87 E-reg MK1b T-Bar

Post by stevemilton »

I'm now needing to sell my MK1 as I have joined the dark side and got myself a MK2 and need to clear some space on the driveway.

It's red, got 158K miles on the clock, about a month left on the tax and mot, and an almost complete service history with a bunch of receipts for various bits and pieces. Inside is quite tidy, with a small cut in the driver's armrest being the only thing wrong. It still has the original t-bar bags and tool kit.

On the outside it's got a few bad points. It's got the normal rust issues on the wheel arches. The nearside front is ok at the moment though. There is some rust at the bottom of the A-pillars and some bubbling on the strip between the windscreen and t-bar panels.

Engine starts 1st time and runs fine. The cambelt has also been changed recently. However, it is possible that the HG is on the way out. It seems to be going around cylinder 4. When up to temperature there is sometimes a small amount of steam from around the HG near the manifold. Even with this it does not seem down on power and runs smoothly.

Since it does require some work, I am open to any sensible offers.
