[Mk2] [Generic] Boot Won't Open!!!

Put the key in the lock, it turned to the side and then the boot wouldn't open! Tried the boot release pull, I dont think the cable has snapped.

What else can I try??

Seems obvious, but you are turning it clockwise?

Anti-clocwise just deadlocks it.

Other than that, I'm not sure. There are stories on here of people drilling locks, but that's a last resort.

there was someone on here who know's how to get in boot without causing damage he has to pm you as we dont want everyone knowing how its done, try doing a search mind you i have no luck doing searches myself its so dam completcated hope this helps

A problem I found with my boot was that the mechanism on the boot pull kept slipping off its position, but didn't effect the key fortunately. Since then I have added a couple of small cable ties to lock the mechanism. Had to be done as I've got one of the covers that goes between the rear lights so I can only ever use the cable.

Sorry but the key problem never happened to me, just the pull. At least if you do get it open you'll see where it's slipped and can sort the pull so it won't happen again

For information, the key turned anti-clockwise then wont turn back... Does this mean it is now deadlocked? How do i un-deadlock it?

Spray some WD-40 into the lock. They tend to stick, especially if they've been left for a while.

Yup - exactly that. Keep wiggling the key back and forth and in a out and eventually it'll turn. You could try a different key if you have one too - sometimes they aren't cut well.
