Right, I've bounced this off a few folk and they've all agreed so far:
How about a product link section?
The idea is a separate section, where you can enter a website address, or link to a product you've found useful -or useless. Drop down menu for say, engine -body -electrical etc -or whatever fits in with the forum titles to categorise it easier.
You can attach a description, but it's limited to, say 50 words or summit like that. No pictures -just attach the link, address or telephone number.
No replies allowed to the post.
...I thought of this after a few conversations where there's been a new product relatively unknown, or a revision to a product which has kicked up a debate on the forum. I thought something like this might help?
...but I admit, I don't have a clue about website stuff and don't know what sort of effort it would take to set-up and maintain.
Any good?
Richard
I have a suggestion for you -specific product link section

Does sound like a good idea
- but I think the garage does quite a lot of that already.
Iirc you can add the mods you've got, and the company you got it from along with the contact details.
I can't check right now because the garage has some issues with Safari, but have a look in there and see if it does what you are suggesting.

Actually, have been looking. The garage is a bit convoluted -doesn't do wnat I was thinking. Looking at it it's actually closer to the knowledge base (though less information than is directly posted in there) than anything else.

Ok, I'm slightly confused then.
