Don't drive that car - that's crazy dangerous!

If you still can't figure it out, get a pro to look at it. Either way, don't drive it and sure a hell don't drive it at the speeds you were in that vid.

You'll be more f***ed if you lose the back end and hit something, or worse, someone.

Good attitude that - putting money before public safety.

I have to agree on this one, get a bus or something whilst your car is being fixed, or take the day off work. Your tyres are the only thing in contact with the road, without them, you are beyond screwed. Your thinking is obtuse at best.

What pressures are you running in those rears by the way? All round in fact. What tyres also?

This link will assist. There is a photo by poohbear which points out where you need to look.

Captive nut was my first thought also - easy enough to check - just undo the bolts holding the rear lower supsension arm to the subframe - if the nut has come loose the bolt will just spin and won't come undone. If you notice the problem on left handers it's probably the off-side bolt - but check both.

Again cheers for the info guys. as for the sub frame ive already cut open a section of the subframe, ive tried everything to remove the bolt but the nut is solid on the bolt so it is just spinning. gonna chop the bolt to remove it, then replace the bolt and nut with a decent nylock then weld a plate over the hole that has been made. hopefully this should sort it out. (the captive nuts on the subframes on these dont seem to be very strong do they?)
Will post pics soon for future reference.
Cheers guys

Top bloke, and true to his word.

Many thanks for the £10, greatfully received. It will be carefully spend, going4the replacement pads and discs I've seen on ebay!

Glad you've got it sorted.

Glad you resolved this and I'm happy my advice from elsewhere was useful...I cured mine by fitting a replacement subframe :)
