AERIAL WIRES

Post by steveaddy »

Hello! can anyone help me! i am currently re-wiring my stereo on a1990 g-limited ive taken a toyota cassette rad out and fitting a kenwood i am doing well with the speakers etc but dont knwo what to do with the aerial!cos i not sure how it works or how many wires it has to the headunit?the kenwood manual says connect any aerial remote to the blue -white wire which is simple enough but i dont know which.ive checked the aerial connector and can see a pink-purple wire that matches a wire that is on the headunit connecctor but that is it.this is one thing holding me up! any help would be great cheers steve

hi m8

i've been rewiring my stereo tonite gave up at 11. who ever wired it b4 me didnt do a very good job with yellow tape everywhere. if the wire ur talking about is pink and blue then it will if the same as mine work the aerial.

the problem i'm having is that when i do connect it it seems to turn u factory amp on too.

in all the info i can get says its a green and blue wire for the aerial but nothing happens when i connect it to a live wire

try it and c it might b ok for u :?
