Aerial up - no reception?

Post by RichardPON »

Realy strange one this.

I've got a Mk2 tubby, and have fitted an after market stereo where there was no head unit in the car, and consequently, just a bunch of wires behind the dash (no ISO plug).

Now I'm reasonable with electrics, so I've wired everything up and the CD player works fine, and the aerial goes up and down on the ignition, but I can't pick up a single station.

All I get is a few half garbled minicab firms and nothing else.

What am I missing here?

Was the aerial lead looking in fairly okay condition when you plugged it into the back of the headunit? Nice snug fit, etc?
Mk2 NA Rev1 -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev2 -*- Mk1 NA -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev 3 = all gone!

Yeah, the aerial lead looks absolutely fine, and is plugged in at both ends before anyone suggests.........

Aerial itself looks in pretty good condition- can't understand it!
