Eh, if you take pictures, measurements and study the road layout, then if you weren't in the wrong you can usually avoid knock-for-knock settlement, which is now falling out of favour anyway - they're more concerned about personal injury and so forth.

On a roundabout if someone pulls out and hits your front wing with the front of their car, then you're clear. The only "right of way" one which might throw you is if someone pulls out with enough time to get their car straight so you hit their rear - even then you stand a good chance if you can demonstrate/find witnesses that show you were already on the roundabout and progressing normally.

Never paced something out before? Don't need to be a nerd to do some basic 'reckoning' of distances ;)

Of course, if you'd rather settle knock-for-knock if you're ever in that situation... :thumleft:

Hm :evil:

There are stupid drivers of every age and sex thanks very much =;

There are plenty of male drivers I see everyday who think they are the best driver in the world and hence are allowed to drive at insane speeds and take awful risks. They also think it's OK to drive about 1 inch away from your bumper with the fog lights on when it isn't foggy because it makes them look hard. ](*,)

There are also stupid women drivers who dither about and don't know which lane they should be in or are scared to overtake something until you decide to overtake and then try to pull out on you without looking!! :evil:

Oh and then there is the old people who hate anyone who doesn't yet have grey hair and they seem to reverse almost everywhere. Normally straight in to your car. #-o

The most dangerous driver I have seen was a woman though, I reported her to the police a couple of times and eventually they went round to tell her off [-X Never before have I seen such consistantly and frequent displays of dangerous driving with absoloutly no thought for the safety of other people on the rounds. I'm amazed she never killed anybody.

O, by the way, I'm a great driver :mrgreen:

The foglights are because they are so near-blind from a popular past-time, they need the extra illumination to see the road right in front of them. Likewise, the tailgating is because that's how close they need to be to see you.

Yes well I did think that, so since the gentleman behind me the other day must of had such bad eye sight, i put my rear fog light on to help him see me.

This was greeted with his full beam and tooting his horn in utter horror that I had put my fog light on when it wasn't foggy :evil: :roll:

What a total ar$e, so when he finally pulled along side me at the round about I displayed the universal sign of "you're a w*nker"

Which funnily enough he saw fine.

I saw a drop-in "carbon" trim for the back of a Mk 2 Rev 1/2 MR2 on eBay a while ago, and thought it looked ideal for fitting an LED message board into...

All tinted black, then if someone's being a moron "SWITCH... YOUR... FOGLIGHTS... OFF" - with a few other choice phrases as you see fit.
