[Mk2] [Turbo] Is this a ct20 hybrid

Post by The Morris »

Bought this turbo under the impression it was a hybrid running 360fly/300wheels.

Once received i see it has ceramic blades at the exhaust side. Can this still be a hybrid??

id have too say that the standard ct20 is probably a better turbo the a hybrid ct26 so if this one turns out to be a ct20 hybrid then you should be a happy man...what kind of miles has the turbo done and hope you dont mind but how much did you pay for it ?

a standard ct20 is not as good as a hybrid 26.

look how many hybrid 26`s there out there compared to ct20, thats because the 26 is a better base to start.

i took off my ct20 and replaced it with a TT stg 2 ct26 and what a difference

Looking at the Flange I can count 7 studs (well 6 studs and a hole where a stud should be!)

I was under the impression that the CT26 had a 7 stud fixing to the exhaust, and that the CT20 had a 6 stud fitment?

If thats true - then I would say you have a CT 26...

i dont think there are many people run hybrids over 1.3.

i got to say when i fitted my hybrid my bum dyno said it was more powerfull at the same boost.

Plenty of people run there hybrids over 1.3bar its just down to the horrendus boost creep you get from a hybrid  :oldtongue:

The Morris you should get pretty close to 300whp with a stock CT20.

300 @ hubs is the most i've seen from a CT20
