Whats the performance like on these compared to say a rev3 turbo
Re: [Mk2] [SC] Just found a cheap v6 mr2 on ebay
t's the torque that makes these conversions interesting. Same as V8 Supras. 200 BHP isn't the end of the story...

Not much in it I would say. Mine certainly feels at least as quick as it was as a turbo. It's a totally different drive though, so much low down grunt you don't need to stir things with the gearlever much!

They're not as quick as a rev 3 turbo on standard boost. I think the 0-60 is just over 6 secs. The V6 does have good torque and sounds great but I'd still rather have a turbo as they have so much tuning potential and I love the kick you get.

So your saying it could be quicker?
I like the V6's and i do think there a nice drive.
Ive had quite a few cars that have a v6 engine in them, I've yet to find one thats been as quick as my tubby, even when it was bone stock.

Well, I do know of a test done recently on the road, & a well sorted rev 3 (but with standard boost) couldn't shake off a V6 right on it's tail, & that didn't have a stand alone ECU like mine has, so.......................
