The place i'm looking at might do horse treks and quad treks, so there may be scope to have 2 groups.

I did look at some stables near beaches, but they seemed more 'kids' orientated than adult... shall continue looking though

 I found the leaflet for the Isle of Anglesey riding centre. It looks well established and well run. They mention beach rides and other hacks out, and it seems they are v close to menai bridge:

 the other thing i found was Anglesey outdoor karting:

www.cartiomonkarting.co.uk

 and indoor karting a bit of a drive away near caernarfon:

www.redlineindoorkarting.co.uk

Quads:
http://www.glasfryn.co.uk/quads.htm (Bit south of Angers £20 for aprox 50 mins - also offer Karting)

http://www.quadtreks.co.uk/content/quad_page.html (also offers pony rides but the ponies look a bit 'happy-hacker' (aka boring))

well up for more karting after the Rockingham shenanigans (:

I'm thinking late November, could be a bit of a mud-fest (:

Never done riding, bit anxious about it (it doesn't have an engine!?) but well up for giving it a go! I am quite good at staying on, on those bucking bronco rides...

Anna,
Can you please post up an address for the accommodation,

Also what time are people expecting to arrive Friday Night?

I'll be taking a 1/2 day Friday 23rd, and heading off up the M40, past Birmingham, and then likely Shrewsbury-A5 route or if the Motorway is clear, M6-M56-A55

Expect ETA 6-7pm

Sunday I'm planning to meet up with Big Sis for Sunday Lunch @ Northwich, so I won't be joining any events past mid-day.

Here's what I found from the Angers trip earlier this year:

Kirsty wrote:Yes the postcode is LL8 8RN. http://www.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en& ... =addr&om=1

I followed my old trusty TomTom which took us right past the cottages along the road for about a mile.

I'm sure Anna will have some more detailed infor though :thumleft:

I think we will be getting there mid - late afternoon as we have taken the day off work too.

Once again, It looks like the morning will be spent bearding the SC before departin... :(

Kirsty typo'd the postcode in the original thread - should be LL58 8RN (Google Maps link is right though!)

Was easy enough at the cottages last time.

I'm still planning to bring a huge pot of proper bolognaise, and a small pot of veggie stuff for the friday evening meal.

The SC's compressor bearing have been making a horrid noise for some time. Am worried the whole charger unit will need repair/replacing. Also the Magnex backbox seems to have collapsed so I will need to find a way to get the spare Mongoose on, but has custom front piping so will be a challenge in itself.

Betty's bigends went at Bedford on Saturday too. But I hope to have these replaced and the engine running before the weekend so it will have a slight chance to bed in before Angers.

Typical really because Betty became a daily drive last week after selling the Galant. We're one car down now. Prolly resort to cycling to work
Or... poss packing in the Temp assignment so I can get both cars running as they should.

Yup, but big ends can be done in around 3 working hours (hours actually spent on the car, not including sourcing parts etc...).

We've seen or been involved on Challenge cars where big ends went in practice/qualifying and were done by race time (which included a trip to a local breaker to get any old generic bearings for a 4AGE :thumleft:

The only thing that worries me is the charger's pulley bearings... as this may need full refurb :(

Why do these things happen just before a trackday?

Interior light has packed up - may have to take the T car

Betty's Engine is definately dead. She won't be making an apearance at Angers I'm afraid..

:( Have you told J5 - you may get a partial refund, especially if someone on the 'provisional' list ( Tom ? ) takes the place

Betty and the SC are listed separately on the BaT attendees list, so presumably are booked in individually and both paid for ?

You're not wrong. Tom was going to be added as second driver to the SC and Chris (Limey) was going on as second driver on Betty.

J5 is fully aware of the situation and was advised he could open up one of the places. I asked if we could sway it in the direction of one of the MR2's on reserve or 2nd drivers :thumleft:

If anyone wants my spot, let me know but our 2nd drivers have first refusal, I'm sure you understand
