2008 International MR2 Meeting

Dear all,

Let me introduce myself first. My name is Alberto Pastor (nick: spynish) and I'm from the Spanish MR2 Club.
From an initiative arised on some MR2 forums ( www.mr2roc.com , www.mrs-passion.com and www.clubmr2.es )we are organizing an International MR2 Meeting on August, 2008.
We launched a forum for the occasion and we have been working hard.
The planning is already done. We will cross Europe from Austria to France going across north Italy and Switzerland to enjoy superb Alps roads:



To end with, we have booked a circuit:

We're in the course of creating a non profit organization to manage everything, specially legal issues. All money got will be rebated to clubs participating.
MR2 Clubs from England, France and Spain are already involved and many others in Switzerland, Italy, Belgium... are participating also, so we thought you would like to know about this event.

I notice the cost is 1500 euros for 1 car and 2 passengers (not inc petrol of course)
i'm not sure thst this includes the track too

That includes meals, track and hotel for 7 days Jo. That's for 2 people as well so pretty damn good IMO.

£1050/2 = £550
extra cost would be petrol for 1300km, drinks etc, so may reach around £700-£800 pp maybe?

A budget option would be good, with B&B or camping rather than hotel, and peeps can just join hotel for evening meals for the social side maybe.

I'm not sure if i can go, but just suggesting some ideas here.....

Hi!

Nice response to our invitation. I'm very happy.
I will talk to rest of the group organizing this event about camping option. My fist thought is that if we sleep in different places would be more difficult to organize it. Let me check it with Eric, in charge of bookings issue.

And of course, track day is included

OMG!! those pics are awsome!!! i really want to do this, it will require asking for an extention to my contract for an other month so the dates for this coinside with my leave. but i really want to do this, never done any driving in any other country! or on a track for that matter!

9th to the 16th august this is planned for.
