1992 Twin Entry Turbo Very Good Condition

Post by welshboy »

Hello all.. I’m selling my much loved and looked after MR2 T-Bar Turbo due to buying as my girlfriend describes – “a more sensible 4 seater” Subaru Impreza WRX.

I really can’t do this MR2 enough justice - very reliable (has started every time) and just great fun to drive with 235bhp under the bonnet (bhp test certificate present).

The previous owner who had the car for 2 ½ years registered it with the UK MR2 owners club although in the 2 years I’ve owned the car I haven’t kept this up.

The car was imported in 1999 and I have the import documents present as well as a lever arch folder of receipts going back to 1999. I also have the V5 document and current MOT ( expires 08/04/08 ) as well as lots of past MOTs. Tax expires 31/12/07.

The car is in gleaming red as has covered 82,000 miles – 80,000 in kilometres (48,000 miles) then converted and delimited to MPH and has since covered 34,000 miles – Total 48,000 + 34,000 = 82,000 miles. I have all the documentation and receipts to prove.

I also have a mountable 7” DVD player with remote control which I will throw in if the full asking price is met. I don’t have receipts for this (came with car) but do assure you it works.. I put a new radio surround in (no holes) but have the old radio surround with the screw holes if wanted.

Outside and Engine

• T-Bar but no covers and occasionally little drops get in
• Bodywork in very good condition
• De-limited
• 3 spoke alloys 16” on front and 17” on back (Slight curbage)
• New brake pads and 17” Nixon tyres on back (£300)
• Toms style air scoop with blitz sticker plus original engine side cover (Slight wear from engine lid being pulled up)
• Aerial motor will need replacing or either pull it up and leave it there or leave it down.
• Longlife stainless steel exhaust (twin 4”)
• Cougar alarm (full enclosure with 2 fobs) and a Cat 2 immobiliser.
• Cambelt changed in 2004 with new tensioners.
• HKS air fuel ratio regulator
• Twin Entry Turbo with dump valve
• No problems with clutch - pulls right through acceleration

Inside

• Lockwood white & red dials to 180mph
• Oz racing steering wheel
• Silver knob short shifter with red leather gaiter surround
• Red Cobra bucket racing seats (Slightly worn & torn but cost £300)
• Snooper advanced radio & laser camera detector – hard wired in
• Electric windows
• Air Conditioning needs recharging (If its that hot I’ve just taken the roofs off :D )
• Turbo and voltage gauges on drivers side window arm

I believe in selling the car honestly so there are no surprises for the new owner and no room for ambiguity on the car’s condition. As such I have made note where problems lie but these are few and only minor. Please feel free to view the car or have it inspected by a reputable vehicle inspector.

Any test drives will be carried out by myself unless suitable insurance and driving license documentation is provided.

Last but not least (or nearly) I’m not available during the 4th -11th and 15th – 30th August as I’m a school teacher and will be making the most of my 6 weeks holidays :D but will attempt to reply to posts and pms. However I will have my mobile switched on and with me and a relative (probably my father) will have possession of the car and be able to show / drive / complete a sale in my absence.

The car is advertised here and elsewhere for £2,600ono and located near Newport, South Wales.

I may put it on Ebay in about a week but would prefer it to go to a good home. Please feel free to call me (07739352816) / post / pm with any queries.

Cheers

Mark
