You can alter your wiring, but you will need holders that take dual element bulbs, i dont think the english versions are done like that. When i converted to rev 3 rear lights, I used the rev 2 import rear light loom to keep them as 4 lit up, and then all go brighter on braking.

You do not need to alter any wiring if you do it this way....

Take out the fog bulbs, they are 20w i think. replace with 5w bulbs, and just keep your foggy switch on.

simple.

apart from if it's a UK car.. cos the rear fogs have reflectors in them that do not go quite to the end of the rear light diffuser.. this is because it is a legal requirement to have a fog light no less than 10cm from the rear lights.

if you just replace the bulb or even wire in another bulb housing the 2 inner rear lights will appear different to the outter ones.

Unless you have an import rear light cluster REV3+ the above applies

can quite work out what you're talking about...

i have rev 1 lights and doing this has made all lights the same.

rev3+ lights (the round ones)

UK spec have reflectors in them that do not go to the edge of the light on the fogs - in order to meet the UK legal requirement of the rear light when on not being within 10cm of the fog light when on.

So if you wire up all four lights as "normal" lights on a REV3+ uk car, then the inner 2 of the rear lights will appear when lit to be a bit "cropped" compaired to the outer two.

basically the outter 2 light up OVAL
inner 2 light up ROUND

best i can explain it

Here's a close up of my old UK car, notice the difference in shade and shape of the outter lights compared to the inner.

No.

What i mean is that you cannot have a Fog light WITHIN 10cm of a rear light
