Update on the plan!

As it's bank holiday weekend, there isn't going to be any scope to getting cheaper ferries.

.

.

but the good news is that I can probably provide free accomodation

(or camping space) for everyone provided we do a little bit of gardening

(just need to convince the relies to hand over keys

).

Red Funnel costs

£62.50 for ferry crossing

(car and 2 people) aiming to leave on the 8am ferry on Saturday

(25th Aug) morning, and come back on the 7.30pm ferry on Monday evening

(27th Aug).

What's on?
Saturday 25th Aug:
The aim is to get to the island at approx 9 am, and to spend Saturday having a drive around the lower half of the Island, stopping off for a nice beach cafe lunch, crazy golf, kiddies amusements, touristy stuff, have some fun on the beach.

Then find our way to digs, dumping stuff, then going for a pub dinner at the Crab and Lobster

(Bembridge).
Sunday 26th Aug:
Powerboat P1 world championship British GP!
Head over to the north half of the Island, with lunch and an afternoon in Cowes

- soaking up the atmosphere of the P1 Powerboat world championship

- watching from Cowes or a bit further around at Gurnard.

FREE spectating from shoreside, or you could pay

£100 for hospitality
Monday 27th Aug:
White Air Extreme Sports Festival!

Head over to Yaverland/Sandown to take a look at the Extreme Sports Festival

(windsurfing, parkour, surfing, trails bikes, skate, land yachting, kitesurfing, bmx, including the world windsurf racing championships 2007).
