Mallory Park MR2 challenge - 19th aug 2007

There is a MR2 challenge race at Mallory on the 19th August.

Its a single race for the MR2's with the Morgan Sports Car Club and classic sports car club and an extra endurance race that some of the MR2's maybe entering into as well.

Not really. I wasnt meant to be racing this one and last time at mallory I was in the Hinda. So I was letting people know i'll be there.

The MR2 race is 3rd of 9 and no officail time, believed to be about 13.00

Some of the MR2s are also running in the 40 minute Future Classics race. I'll be using it to test out next year's proposed tyres - assuming they arrive in time, otherwise I'll eek the last bit of life out of my R888s!

It was a damp (not wet and a dry line appeared later) qualification, and I managed 12th, 3rd in class now everyhing was working (redid front toe this morning)

The race started (dry), I dropped a few places, pulled them back, and was sat in 2nd in class gaining on the first in class guy, went to gerrards at 80-90ish the back stepped out as normal , I caught it, it went/felt funny I think the tyre derimmed and it sent me gravelwards, which I hit side on.
