MK1 Seats

Post by jim-mapps »

My pride and joy is an MK1 T-Bar with a few little bits that need fixing up.

It’s an 89 model with leather seats and they’re nicely wearing themselves away. Cracks turn into tears on the seems of the seat. Does anyone know where I could get them re stitched and a rough idea of how much?

Otherwise, does anyone know where I can get replacement seats?

Maybe if I could stop the roof leaking I wouldn’t have this problem in the first place.

Are you after replacement leather or cloth seats?

Depending on your location there are quite a few places that'll repair them for you.
Have a browse on www.yell.com for upholsterers.

if you get both seats recovered my experience of down here is around £500.my mates just had his done by a guy in Herts. super job, very classy and quick. could be worth a drive ? email [email protected] and i`m sure he can send some pictures.
mind you its probably cheaper up there.
