good alloy wheel websites??? uk ones!

Post by jimGTS »

help, may treat myself to some new wheels for summer, my current volks need a little refurb, as well as new fronts, so for the cost of this, i may be tempted to get some new rims instead (obviously not as expensive).
need some websites with different width alloys!

is it possible to fit 17s front, and 18s rear???

as 99%, infact, 100% of the sites ive found only list one width size per wheel.
am i fighting a losing game, as know this will make the alloy a little more pricey, but i dont want to have to spend say over 125 on a wheel!!

the BMW M3 replica's, do these fit the mr2??????? as i love them!

i know what you mean mate- spent most of today looking at alloys (a bit boring really).... i know Dan @ DC design is quite helpful. See if he can do a mix and match for you.

If you find a good site let me know....

i dont want anything from halfords, and im not particully fond of any tyre packages, as they all come with crap tyres.

i think you'll be quite suprised. my local halfords will give you toyo proxes with a set of 16" o.z superleggeras for a tad over £600

good tyres with great wheels.

oh right, do they let you pick particular tyres if you ask them??

tyres yeah, but wheel width i doubt it. they'd have to be the same all round.

when ever i go in my local halfords i always look at the alloys, they have a resonable choice .. the superleggeras are the best IMO. nice and light too.

then i walk past all the momo seatbelt covers and max power floor mats and have a chuckle to myself.

Hi,

We can do a package of 17" front and 18" rears, with whatever tyres you want (as long as they are available) and beat any price etc ... but why would you want 17" front and 18" rear?

there it asks if its "possible" to have 17s front and 18s rear, i never said this was an option, lol, whereas my first post that started this thread was concerning the width

I think in certain wheels, going for a 17 front / 18 rear is the only way to get a wider wheel at the back :)

That is true, but you can fit the wider tyre on the rear, when the front and rear wheel with is the same (i.e. a 7" wheel can have a 215 on the front and a 235 on the rear) and that is what matters. Fitting an 18" wheel are the back, and a 17" wheels at the front wouldn't really be recommended.
