Since owning the car I have changed the plugs (ngk uridium) leads, rotor arm and distributer cap and also the oil twice as mentioned. Its had new rear brake pads and all the tyres are good the rear ones only being 2 months old. It really has wanted for nothing.The car is fitted with a clifford concept 650 cat1 alarm and immobiliser and I have the certificate for this.
As far as modifications go it has a K N induction kit which makes a great noise.
I have had the car de cated with a 3 inch xxxx de cat down pipe and a fuel cut defender fitted so it now boosting around 1 bar as opposed to the factory 0.7.My mechanic reckons this should give about 10% more power now than standard so its running about 250bhp. My friend has a standard one and its quicker than his. The exhaust back box is still standard so is not too loud and has a nice burble and pops slightly on the overrun once warm.Great with the roof off on a sunny day!Everything on the car works as it should even the air conditioning blows cold.
The engine runs perfectly always starts and always gets full boost so no turbo problems. The gearbox is exactly as it should be with no change problems. The body work is in excellent condition with only the odd stone chip and the red paint work has lasted well.The car although not completely mint condition is fantastic considering it was made in 1992 and I have used it as a daily driver.The interior is in good condition and has a new gear gaiter. The seats are cloth but with no wear on the bolsters are firm and comfy to use. I also have a blue tooth hands free kit fitted, which will be included with the sale.This really is a great opportunity to own a near standard well looked after Mr2 thats given me a lot of pleasure to own and it will be very sad to see it go.
