Man, pimp your ride with some Sun Visor screens. Check out my profile page , I can get you two for less than £125 (Although you may get Custom hit). But that includes Shipping.

You can keep your headunit as well ;-) You'll need a DVD changer somewhere.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... gory=38650

That's how much I paid at the time $199 bucks + $38 shipping = £123

However if customs catchs you they add 17.5% which makes it

£123 * 1.175 = £144

Just bid on that guys auction if you want them, they're worth it and fit well. Professional fitting reccomended.

Aren't there more charges other than just customs though?

I bought some stuff from the US which only cost £50 but I got stung for £20 of taxes and other fees when it arrived.

This guy is cheap http://www.tgincar.co.uk/

Just have a look round his website then go on Ebay as he also sells on there for about a tenner cheaper per item. He's UK based too so no nasty taxes

Yes there are Royal Mail fees for collecting your goods from customs on your behalf, it's like me going to the shop to get your pre-paid sunday paper for you without asking you first, putting a note through your door to let you know it's at my house, and then charging you for the privilage of coming to get it or keeping it for myself to re-sell if you don't pay my fee.

Not that it upsets me you understand. 8-[

Philz, I've fallen in love with that unit you have in the bottom there!!

(Hang-on a minute!!)

Philz I like that unit you've got underneath the pop out screen, is it any good?
What's the picture like on the small screen?

Does the front come off? ( )

Does it sound good?

Philz - Does the fascia come off the screen (the top unit)?

Wanna write a brief review?
Mk2 NA Rev1 -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev2 -*- Mk1 NA -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev 3 = all gone!

mr2daz, it's a JVC EXAD DVD/MP3/VCD/CD player. It has a built in 3" screen but can also output to a separate screen (as shown in my pic)

I ran it with just the inbuilt screen for a while but decided it would be rude to waste a double DIN space so I just fitted the flip out screen last weekend. The front comes off the JVC but not the flip out screen although I plan to just cover it with the standard Toyota blanking panel thing (the ugly one) so it shouldn't matter, my car rarely goes out of my sight anyway so hopefully it should be ok.

Nige, the fascia doesn't come off as said above so I'll be covering it with a crappy Toyota blanking panel. For £89 it's a bargain, the quality is more than acceptable even if you were paying twice as much.

Excellent thanks mate, that's another one to add to my ever growing list of wants. Having a removable face plate really is a must for me I think, might be just bad luck but i've had a total of 4 windows borken in my last 2 cars just to have a couple of insignificant things nicked. Just a little paranoid now I guess.
£89.00 is real good bargain for the screeen so it might be time for a decent alarm system with wireless cctv!

Cheers :)

Sounds perfect - everything you need from a system like this (apart from the price!). :)
Mk2 NA Rev1 -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev2 -*- Mk1 NA -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev 3 = all gone!
