Mk1 T-bar Mica Blue

Post by cggrilli »

Hi

The time has come, I've put it off too long, but I have to sell my MR2, just don't get to use it anymore, what with my company car and having a baby.

Mk1 T-bar
Mica Blue
D-Reg
156,000 miles
MOT til Nov '07
s/s exhaust

Completely original apart from CD player(original stereo supplied), aerial moved to engine lid.

NO LEAKS - I've been using it now and everthing stays bone dry. Its been stored inside over night for the last sx months (since the re work), only being rolled out dring the day.

NO RUST! Just had two rear arches and full re-spray all new work rust proofed. Front wings were replaced by previous owner. All decals and stripes as they should be.
New front beam which i completely rust proofed (covered in underseal!)

All electrics in good working order - apart from the interior light switch in the drivers b-pillar which i haven't fitted back in since replacing the metal work. Complete set of spare electrics - all fuses relays, control units, ECU etc...

Pirelli P6000 all round plus new spare. I've got about 8 spare wheels, with 4 good tyres. Actually I've got a complete spare car.

Since i have had it i have replaced rad, started motor, dampers, plus the usual servicing of plugs and oil. Comes with spare engine and 'box!

Tracking set to TRD spec and handles so well. Rear tracking bars have nuts on them now to aid adjustment and periodical 'freeing off'! New track rods, no slop in strg column, the chassis still feels tight.

Its really a very strong engine - compared to all the others i have driven. brakes are amazing or some reason! Comes with set of new EBC pads for front.

Blue cloth interior, I have replaced seats with very good clean ones.

Its been such fun to own, its just not practical enough for the family anymore. I have been all over europe in it and done a few sprint track days.

Its been ultra reliable, never had any trouble. Starts first time everytime and sounds brilliant.

I'm looking for £1500.

It has been well looked after, and the price doesn't even cover the cost of what i have spent in the last 6 months. Sad to see it go, bt you've got to grow up and get sensible!

Drove to work this morning with the top off, adn i soooo want to keep it, but common sense has prevailed and it remains for sale!!!

Yep, its very solid indeed, finished pics here, and a couple of the rear wings during replacement, actually, only one side is shown, bt they were both the same!

Its not showroom perfect, but it does come up nice and shiny!

The only bad being:
The wheels, which i didn't get round to refurbishing
The paint has cracked on one of the rear mud flaps
The ash tray cover is fading
Gear lever gaiter as a hole in.

Does NOT pop out of fifth.

As i say, i have put new seats in, and spent quite a bit of money on doing it up - more than I am selling it for.

Got home and it didn't blow up, burst into flames or anything - result!

Very pleased - wifey is already saying how much she likes it and can she have one - little does she know it's for her - my nefarious schemes for husband of the century continue MUAHAHAHA!

Cheers Chris  top bloke

Any other piccies of the work etc you or previous owners have done would be handy as they'll go in the file for the future.
Why thank you - I grew it myself you know

Super, glad you are happy with it!

Hope all your plans come together, 1.5s seem like a brilliant idea.
