People Who Butcher '2s......I Could Kill 'Em...

Post by OohMatron »

Hola All,

Well, just been outside to fit my clear front lenses and side repeaters
which the good man Dan :@: DCDezign so kindly supplied on a very
prompt turnaround. Only to find some idiot has been there before me
and butchered the near side loom and connector for the side repeater

How gutted am I..!!

God only knows what they were thinking when they did it, it's a
completely different connector on the end of the wire, it doesn't take
501 bulbs and doesn't fit the repeater. They'd unfolded the wires of
a 501 bulb and shoved them in the holes of the connector..!!

 Again......

Anyone else found things like this on their beloved '2s..??

Stephen

Oooh P.S. Anyone recommend where to get a pukka connector from
so I can put my baby back together properly.?? TIA.

Don't it make your blood boil..!! No pun intended....

I've also found that whoever fitted the stereo butchered the loom
for the front speakers so I had no tweeters. I replaced them with a
component set, took me ages to get the wiring spot on..!!

Why do they even bother if they don't know what they're doing [-X

My beast was never looked after , the alarm was rubbish aswell
drained the battery so many times ended up getting rid of it
it was hanging in the engine bay by a piece of string too.

It'd take a miracle to butcher the connector on there, completly wrong
for a 501 bulb. I can get a 501 holder and mackle it to suit but I'm a
bit of a purist so I guess it's off to Mr T.

I've not manged to find a breaker around here with a '2..!!
