Er, but a starting bid of £500 with no reserve means the car could be sold for £100 less than what's he's asking for it on IMOC.
The sale ended with no bids so there wasn't much chance taking going on.
Speedy,
You've missed my point.
The auction ended on 27 May 07 and a bid of £500 would have secured the car. On 28 May 07 EarL revised the ad on IMOC and knocked the price down to £600, £100 more than what he would have accepted on EBay. Comprende vous?
Peter
PS: I totally agree that it's a shame that the car didn't sell because it could be a cracker with a little work.
Speedy wrote:Er, the buy it now price is £700 on EBay, which means you'd be saving £100 buying it from the ad here.. or you could take your chance with the auction.
Thanks Alex.

Er, yes, but who is to say that the reserve price on the auction wasn't £600?
Earl said so, the car was offered with no reserve. Do you actually understand how EBay works?
Peter, without getting into arguments, I actually did as Alex suggested, and had a reserve in mind when I posted the car onto eBay.
Furthermore, unless you are taking an interest in buying the car, I'd be grateful if you kept your comments to yourself, and not posted them in this thread.

EarL.

Earl, What do you think would be required to get it through the MOT? I realise you're not going to know for sure and there may be other items required... but I've got someone interested who would like to know what it'll take to get it roadworthy...(problem is I get the feeling I may be doing much of the work! LOL)
Cheers!

The reserve was obviously just in your mind.

Ok, sorry if I'm stepping on toes.
Peter
Over and out.

Definately needs the welding done (circa £50), suspension top mounts, maybe a wheel rear bearing (just hear it grumbling). But thats it...
