327 bhp rev 2

Post by The Morris »

 :(

ok its time to go. I love my car, but i need to pay for my pending wedding (havent asked her yet). Im not short of money so i wont let it go cheap, but i will accept reasonable offers.

i have lost my connection to my computer so i cant post new photos but am willing to text any to serious people.

its a high spec GTS, i believe it has everything except LSD

spec list

replacement rev 2 block and rebuild
forged pistons
metal headgasket
arp head bolts
rev 3 inlet cam
Blitz bag turbo rebuilt by TT ( zero boost creep)
Greddy intercooler
Departure exhaust + new flexi section
C2 downpipe
Rev 3 injectors
Unichip and boost module
Magnecor leads
Aquamist water injection (next to TB for detonation control)

Fox RS5's 17"unmarked with good tread toyo's
Lowered
Bilsteins at front not sure rear
Crystal indicators
momo steering wheel and gearnob

All work has been carried out by Andi at AM tuning. It had the engine rebuild about 4000 miles ago as we know this isnt cheap but a must if you want to run big power. The car itself has done in the region of 110k. The car was last dynoed at 327 Fwhp at 18 psi.

At a distance the car looks great, from my front window it looks new. I polish it every 2 weeks and spend hours keeping it shiny. I also change the oil every 3/4k. Up close it obviousy has blemishes and marks, but for 15 years old it looks great. I had the front bumper resprayed when i first bought it so theres hardly any chips at the front.

the interior looks excellent apart from the usual wear to the drivers seat and wear on the A/C buttons

I have spent nearly £10k on this car and the intention was to make it one of the best.

OK i am going to be fully honest and point out all the bad bits.

Turbo makes it a whistling noise between 4 and 5k revs under full accelleration. I had it rebuilt at TT to stop the boost creep and make it stronger. The turbo was designed to run at 16 psi but as it is now stronger it is built to withold 24psi. The only trouble is it has a little problem getting rid of the air flow and takes a little while to balance.Above 5K and below 4k no problems ( i dont to be in this rev band for long). It doesnt affect perfromance as you can see by the dyno. I never was going to keep the turbo anyway as the engine is built for much more.

i caught the gargae and pulled the corner of the rear bumper. You will only notice when i point it out to you. (text pic available)

There i a little surface rust on the bottem of the drivers side seal. It is hard to see and only cosmetic. I have used hemorite and wax to stop it getting any worse and was there when i bought the car, iy hasnt got any worse in this time. I WILL PROVIDE A FREE SET OF TOMS SIDE SKIRTS FOR THE BUYER TO COVER THIS AREA UP.

The A/C is no longer cold i have had it looked at and the compressor is leaking. I have bought a replacement but have not had time to have it fitted. New job and a busy man.

As is aid the car looks great. I have bought a full bodykit to put on the car and my engine plan was for a TT turbo, ATS fuel rail, walbro pump and a re map to 380bhp. buying a 2nd hand turbo and selling mine i had the cost at £600, so not much for the increase.

The engine is built to withstand way in excess of 400 bhp

I will text any pics of the bad points if needed.

I will consider any offeres in excess of £4k. Even with a few bad points i believe the engine work combined with the wheels and exhaust makes it worth in excess of £4k. Let me know if you disagree.

Also available at an extra cost

Border front - styling fx ( supposed to be a great fit)
Toms rear - Headcover ( perfect fit)
Toms rear spoiler - origional, was bry's
walbro fuel pump.

let me know if you are intrerested
